A braided rug is wonderful. It adds comfort to your floor yet it also gives you a sense of history and tradition. Even if your rug is machine made, it still looks as if it was made by settler women in years gone by! Although machines are taking over the making of most rugs, many braided rugs are still made by traditional methods although these hand-crafted rugs can be pricey.

As far as color is concerned, you will see many traditional multi-colored rugs (the settlers merely worked with whatever fabrics they had to hand, mainly gathered from old clothes) or you can choose any color under the rainbow for your braided area rug.
