The easiest way to find what you are looking for is to hunt around the local carpet stores and ask the sales guys if they sell the kind of carpet you are looking for and to let you know when they have a remnant available. The more flexible you are in your requirement the easier it is. Red is not the most common color for wall to wall carpets so you may find it is quicker looking for a solid red area rug.

Binding rugs professionally should not be done by hand. Purchasing do it yourself kits will cost exponentially more and your color choices are very limited. Suggestion? Call a local installer who can bind your area rug for about $1-2 per foot. No labor, no spending $100 on the DIY kit+ cost of tapes and shipping. 10×10 area rug will cost you about $100 with no aggravation and an EXACT color match.

You can buy cheap shag rugs online in every color. Here is a page of purple shag rugs which may suit you including one for less than $30. Be careful when buying, that your bargain does not look too cheap as well as not costing too much. That one looks quite good however especially as it is a flokati rug and made of 100% wool.

Now if you are looking for wall to wall shag pile, that is different, as you are then better off to buy locally where you can feel the quality of what you are getting. Try the bigger carpet warehouse chains to see if they have what you are looking for or ask them what they can order for you and the total price including carpet installation.

I found light pink shag rugs at overstock.com uk site but I can’t see the U.S. version (I’m not sure where you are). Also, I’m not sure if we are thinking f the same color as mauve to me is the same as lilac (light purple) Do you mean the blue-pink shade that is a cross between light pink and lilac? The other thing to try is the rug stockists and those offering catalogs at the back of interior design magazines. You could give them a call and see if they could help.

Is there any other SHADE of pink (such as what-we-used-to-call MAUVE???? I keep seeing that bright “hot pink” square rug with each click! Is there such a thing as a nylon (or synthetic) SHAG bath rug (round, square, long, short – whatever) ?? I have 2 gorgeous PALE pink…………….mauve, if you will…………..which are LONG shags. Nylon – almost a pearl-like finish. Only reason I’m looking now is because they are old and need to be replaced. Can you advise anything? I think I looked at 80 some-odd sites and there are NO light pink shags! Thanks so much.

I really really like area rugs, yet My partner and i haven’t yet shell out for a really nice one. I got myself a number of rugs from Target several months ago realizing that they simply wouldn’t last. My personal area rug preference leans towards the types I simply cannot find the money for at present. However I really take pleasure in reading a variety of posts about area rugs and look for different suggestions all the time. I’ve seriously been looking at narrowing my purchase towards ‘Eco -Friendly area rugs, and wonder what anybody thinks as well as what suggestions some might have.

Outdoor rugs are useful everywhere (only on a patio or deck) but if the weather is poor in winter I would take them indoors at that time. Most of them are nice enough to be used indoors or outdoors so if you have space indoors you don’t even have to store them. Mind you, I love garden mosaics too so if you have further info on those I’m sure my readers would be interested
