Once you’ve decided to buy an outdoor rug to enhance your patio, deck or yard you may be wondering where best to buy one.
You can buy outdoor rugs at garden centers, department stores, carpet outlets and DIY (do it yourself) discount warehouse stores but why not spare yourself a trail around the town and malls and get your indoor outdoor rug online?
You will find all kinds of outdoor rugs on the internet from an outdoor braided rug which would look great on the porch of a country house (picket fence and rocking chair and all) to an outdoor bamboo rug which would look great on a tropical style garden patio. And if you are looking for an outdoor rug runner for the side of your swimming pool (lucky you!) you will find those in abundance too.
The main type of rug we look for when it comes to the patio is one to create a kind of room setting outside, just as attractive as any room in your home. For this you need an outdoor area rug which suits your garden furniture and patio cushions. You will find these rugs in every color and design imaginable and in a number of different materials so that you are bound to find something to look good on your patio. If you shop at home you will be able to weigh up the various outdoor area rugs on offer and take you time to decide on the right one.And of course there is a major advantage to shopping online. Cheap prices and discounts! Online retailers are able to sell outdoor rugs at a cost below those in the stores because they don’t have a store to maintain just a website (a much cheaper scenario). And the added competition online forces them to keep their prices competitive in any case. Instead of taking the time to drive to one store where you will have just a very small selection to choose from and higher prices you can browse hundreds of outdoor rugs and find the perfect rug for your outside space.
When comparing prices and rugs take care to include any sales taxes and shipping costs in the final price so that you get a true comparison. Many sites offer free shipping if you spend over a certain limit which can certainly help your budget. Once you’re sure which rug is right for you and your garden its very simple and secure to order online. Then you can sit back, relax and wait for your outdoor rug to arrive right at your door.

I wouldn’t have thought about putting a rug on my patio but what a great idea to make a patio area more cozy. I’m wondering what the best way to keep it clean would be especially if your patio isn’t covered. I’m assuming there are good outdoor materials that will stand up to the weather and wear and tear.
Hi Kimberly
most of these rugs you can simply wash with the garden hose every now and then to keep them clean. I would leave the rug out all summer and then give it a good clean, let it dry and store it indoors if you get severe winters where you live. If you live in a mild climate the rugs can stay outdoors permanently. These outdoor rugs really do make a difference to your patio or deck, don’t they?
